Harvest Hope Initiative was born in Marsabit — a region rich in spirit but tested by drought, distance, and limited access to quality education. What started in 2025 as a small church gathering, with a handful of volunteers and a few children in need, is steadily growing into a community of hope.
We believe in seeds. The seed of a child's potential. The seed of a family's faith. The seed of a community's shared future. Each one needs the right soil, steady water, and the patience to wait for the harvest.
Why Marsabit
Marsabit County sits in northern Kenya, where pastoralist families balance ancient ways of life with the pressures of a changing climate and economy. Children here are remarkable — resilient, curious, full of joy — but they often face barriers to schooling, safety, and stability that no child should carry alone. We exist to remove those barriers. Quietly. Faithfully. One family at a time.
How we work
Everything we do is rooted in relationship. We don't parachute in with programs; we sit with families, listen to pastors and teachers, and build alongside the people who already know their community best. Faith shapes our motivation. Education shapes our method. Community shapes our measure of success.
We are a small organization, and we like it that way — accountable to every donor, present in every story, slow to scale and quick to listen.
